For many years, ISB has been active in the development
business for a wide range of wireless devices, analog mobile phones, pocket pagers,
etc. Furthermore, we have been actively engaged in the second generation (PDC/PHS)
and the third generation (W-CDMA/CDMA) of the current digital mobile phones as
well as software engineering in this field.
We have technologies and experience in almost every aspect of the fields of mobile
phone technologies, which are becoming increasingly sophisticated; we have established
track records in design/development fields of the following areas: core porting
(embedding) of browser software, mail software, front-end processors (FEP), Java
VM, etc., applications such as address books, calculators and schedulers, user
interfaces including screen controls, telephone functionality, multimedia control
(2D and 3D), middleware such as sound (audiovisual player), video phone and data
link (OBEX), data communication/device control including base band communication
layer, IrDA, USB, Bluetooth, UART and external memory, various evaluation/examination
tools, and others.
Moreover, we are able to propose solutions that reach beyond engineering of mobile
devices and equipment, involving a wide range of service utilization and application
scenarios as well. |

We are engaged in a wide range of development and testing
of FOMA terminals, from the prototype stage to the release of the latest models
from the main manufacturers, and from the lower layers (hardware control) to higher
layers (e.g. UI). We possess complete know-how about the prevalent standards and
specifications as well.
We not only own and foster a wealth of technological resources including communication
layers, various applications, data links, over-the-air download and UI framework
technologies, but we are also continuously making companywide efforts to acquire
new emergent technologies and establish new architectures.
Moreover, we are constantly pursuing improvement, aiming for further advancement
of our production efficiency and the quality demanded of our embedded software,
such as employing development processes that take advantage of object oriented
approaches (e.g. UML).
If you have problems with software technologies and resources related to FOMA/W-CDMA,
the fastest road to find a solution is to contact us. |

The Symbian OS platform is an operating system originally
specialized and designed for mobile terminals; it is provided by Symbian Ltd.
(UK), which is invested by Nokia, Ericsson, Panasonic, Samsung and several other
mobile terminal manufacturers. This OS makes development and utilization of GUI
applications, which used to cause a lot of problems in the phases up to and including
implementation, easier and is attracting attention as an all-round OS platform
for mobile phone terminals whose requirements, such as advanced functions, shorter
delivery period, parallel development and modular design, are becoming more and
more diversified.
This OS has been employed in mobile terminals in Europe for a long time, and its
track record has been established through numerous successful applications. It
is also employed in mobile phone terminals manufactured by NTT DoCoMo and SoftBankMobile
in Japan.
We have accumulated a rich experience with development in Symbian OS ahead of
our competitors and participate in a large number of development collaborations
with various FOMA terminal manufacturers.
Moreover, we have concluded an alliance with Symbian Ltd. in 2004.
- Symbian Partner Network member
Symbian OS software development technology
- Symbian OS version 9 licensee
- Symbian OS Training Partner
* Symbian and all symbols and logos based on Symbian are trademarks
of Symbian Software Limited.
We intend to take advantage of this alliance to promote a wide range of technical
support for Symbian OS. |

We are highly experienced when it comes to support
for development and technical assistance for mobile phone terminals supporting
CDMA 2000, which is employed by au Japan and becoming increasingly popular worldwide.
We collaborate with numerous Japanese terminal manufacturers in development of
porting and testing of the Ez-appli execution environment (BREW) as well as terminal
native middleware and application software. |

BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless), an
application platform for mobile phones developed by Qualcomm, allows implementing
advanced applications and services on mobile phones through development in C/C++.
We have started to introduce and localize this technology in Japan before others,
remaining in close contact with Qualcomm Japan.
We flatter ourselves that we, as an independent software house, have the richest
experience and selection of development sources, not only in BREW porting for
mobile phone terminal manufacturers, but also in driver development, tests, contents
solutions and testing tasks for contents providers, etc. |

We not only participate in forums related to "T-Engine,"
which is an open development environment aimed at ubiquitous computing, we also
continually develop and advance the know-how we accumulated in ITRON OS, with
which we have developed abundant experience over the years. Our aim is to actively
satisfy technical needs for various future embedded systems including mobile devices
and home information appliances. |
